I love using art to make art and that is what we did with this documentary. My friend Lucy Gebre-Egziabher who hosted our film screening night also arranged for her Northern Virginia Community College – Alexandria Campus – Film Collaborative, students Laura Tappan, Santino Fernandez, Kevin Williams to conduct interviews of the artists and shoot footage of our events. Supplemented with photos shot by my son Jacob Utley I had more than enough raw material to put this 10:00 minute documentary together.

First screening February 1, 2014, Brentwood Arts Exchange All-Screened Video Fest.

I made this video with Microsoft Movie Maker, edited the sound with Audacity and made the DVD with DVD Maker. Cutting it down to the 10 minute limit for the show was the most challenging because there is so much more that I would have loved to add.
